Previously produced at WCT in 1982 and directed by Kent Johnson. The perils of a workplace romance are explored to comedic effect in this romantic musical comedy. Conditions at the Sleep-Tite Pajama Factory set off not only a conflict between management and labor, but a battle of the sexes as well. Score, by the creators of “Damn Yankees” includes: “Hey There”, “Steam Heat” and “Hernando’s Hideaway.”

Sid: (28-40) Legit baritone, handsome Superintendent.
Hines: (40-50) Baritone, comic, time study man, does soft shoe.
Prez: (35-45) Tenor, character, Union President, comic womanizer.
Hasler: (45-60) Company President, non-singing role.
Pop: (50-60) Babe’s father, non-singing role.

Women:
Babe: (25-30) Legit mezzo soprano, beautiful, feisty union leader, moves well.
Gladys: (25-35) Alto, comic character, fractured Fosse dancer, bookkeeper.
Mabel: (40-60) Alto, secretary, moves well.
Mae: (25-35) Alto, with two solos.

Chorus:
Need 6 men and 8 women, ages 20-50.
Need 3 “hot” Fosse-style dancers.
